Well it has been a spell since I was here. It has been one of the wetest and fastest summers that I can remember.
This week is set aside to put the finishing touches on a Pergola of native cedar.
Also gearing up for the Oldhouselive show sponsored by Old House Journal Magazine in Hartford at the Expo center this Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 16th, 17th, and 18th. I will have a booth as well as give a presentation on the Restoration of The Nathan Hale Schoolhouse in New London Ct.
I will also sit in on two question and answer sessions about Historic Windows. This should prove interesting as they are always a lively topic.

My first entry here on my new site. Pardon the housekeeping until we get this figured out.
My thoughts are to post some useful bits of information about my experiences with Historical Restoration on old houses. I may from time to time post some short "How To" Restore or Conserve segments for those things that are most common to preservation work. Items like Storm Windows, Insulation, Weatherstripping, Epoxy work for rotted wood, House Paint, Trim Repairs, Structural Timber repairs, plaster, and Masonry repairs.
I do plan to keep a weekly update of current Restoration projects that I am working on.
I welcome questions and comments. I may take a couple days to get back to you but I'll do my best.
